You replaced order and reason with identity politics and abstract theories (not literally you, but the """inteligentsia""") and now you're getting reality slammed in your face.
Make no mistake, I don't know what Trump will do. But the tide on which he got elected is a reaction against rampant identity politics and champagne socialists. And that tide is just beginning.
Now that America is on our side, things will begin moving in Europe. Doesn't even matter if Trump is really populist like he wants to make us believe, the zeitgeist is.

>Infinite Creation: Birth a new universe.
>Planned Obsolescence: As a materialist empire, have at least 75% of the pops in your empire be robotic in an empire with at least 200 pops.
>Very Open Borders: As a xenophilic empire, have migration treaties with at least 10 other empires.
>Omnicultural: Have your ruler be of a different species class than your founding species.
>Outside Context: Invade pre-FTL Earth while it is in the midst of a world war.
>Then Virgil, Now Beatrice: Return a long-dead species to life.
>What Was Will Be: Close the loop, or don't.

Current rating for Dishonored 2:
10/10, perfect*
It's still the game that we loved in the past, but everything about it has improved. The level design has actually gotten way better even. There are so many routes in the levels, it's crazy. The powers are great, the upgrades tend to be kind of minor but that's okay. Bone crafting seems really cool. I haven't delved into it yet but I feel like you could probably make an entire playthrough dedicated to just great charms and enhancements. Story's good. Detail's there. The voice acting keeps the improvements from Brigmore Witches.
*The only, only criticism I have so far is that the requirements seem a little nuts. I have a good computer and I'm getting some audio stuttering. Not constantly, but I can't pretend it's not there. It hurts the musical immersion. I may dial back settings if it helps audio smooth out.

>>784742No you see, those are two different things.
I fully know pirating a game means stealing it, and I'm not discussing that.
What I'm saying is that a poorly optimized game should not be such, and can't be excused by the idea tech will march on and catch up to it. Especially a poorly optimized game which doesn't revolutionize graphics like Crysis did.
The fact I
might pirate Dis2 waiting for a sale has nothing to do with the fact that, if the game is poorly optimized and requires something above what 90% of SERIOUS pc gamers have to be played without hiccups, it's not a good game from a technical standpoint.
No.784744
>>784743I don't know that it's poorly optimized. The levels are a LOT bigger and there's a lot more going on than in the previous Dishonored. There are a lot of moving parts.
In any case, complaining about something you're not paying for just seems impolite. Whether it's a free sample or actual theft, I don't like it. But I can't stop you from complaining about it - free website you can post what you want, so I'll just leave instead. I've got plenty of shows and games to catch up on for the night.

No.784751
>>784750You are an edge case! Especially so because you can buy components extra cheap.
This is not a case like crysis, where the game was pushing boundaries. This is a game which doesn't look all that special and still runs poorly on most hardware if reports from users are to be believed.
Why should a company make a game that will only be playable in the future? If that's the case people would only buy it in the future!
