An ideal quest for me would involve something like being introduced to the engineering team and being presented with a maze of pipes, boilers, atmospheric compressors, fuse boxes, emergency cutoff switches, gauges, wires, warning signs written in dense technical jargon, and exotic machinery. Progression would involve researching and mastering the machines.

This kind of stuff is why I love Space Station 13. You don't just turn on the engine, you build it and optimize it. You don't just shoot someone with a healing beam, you observe symptoms, diagnose, form a treatment plan, and carry out pharmaceutical or surgical treatment.

We had a nice anecdote of one of our poems/writers being analyzed by a contemporary "the author was thinking…"
And his only repsonse to that critique was "Like hell I was." (Or damn, something similar, but back then those words were just as serious as saying fuck).

Although that's nothing compared to one poet writing a poem in which if you read the first letters it spells out "Lick my ass, Karinthy" (the name of the other poet)
The revenge was hiring a bunch of kids and then telling them to ask him for an autograph all at once, and then the kids asked, "Oh, you're not that guy?" And gave them back.

It wasn't picked at random, it was a very carefully selected song! That's the song that I feel when I play.

It evokes feelings of New Vegas because the world is cracked, parched, and empty. But the song itself is about a peaceful existence of settling in a land that has become familiar, and evokes longing. In the same way, we live on a mountain peak where monsters don't spawn (because we have torches out to several chunks away). It's a beacon of light that rises above a valley, literally casting a shadow over the lands below which we have terraformed into a small grove.

Because monsters don't spawn at the peak, a lot of my regular grind is done at night. The moon rises on the crest as I make another round in the garden and stoke the flames at the smelter. I watch for the dawn on that distant horizon, to bring light to the shadows in the valley that I love best.

>>787880
Correction, it doesn't even need line of sight. It's just a deployable generator that gives 75 shields to anyone who walks close enough to it.

>Both ultimates will be getting more hp than current iteration's teleporter, some of that hp in the form of shields, so they don't die as quickly as her teleporter does currently. Teleporter HP reduced to 50 from 200, increased shields to 350 from 0. The 350 health from shields will regen if not taking damage for a certain amount of time.

>New ability to replace shields, Photon Barrier: Similar to rein shield and winston's barrier. It's a barrier that's projected on a sort of track that moves along. It has a 10s cooldown.
>Minor tweaks to turrets, now you start with 6 turrets and can stockpile up to 6 with cooldown. They also have 10s cd instead of 12s.
>Also extended the distance of the left click beam. Not a significant increase, just something to feel better. Increased from 5m to 7m.

About 7 hours is standard until Junior college, which is about when you're 16-17 and lasts 2 years. Then I had to deal with school from 7am to 5pm.

Seven-hour school days for the most part, five days a week. The odd 12:30 dismissal here and there, but for the most part you'd be on the way home by… was it two o'clock or four o'clock that school usually got out?
Anyway, you'd still have most of the afternoon to… well, I'm not sure what other kids did, but I'd usually be either Vidya or working around the house, with an hour or two at night for homework.

Elementary/High school here generally starts around 8:30 AM and ends around 4 PM. Middle school doesn't exist here, since it's considered part of the 6 year long secondary education in High school.

On Wednesdays the school day ends around midday as well. As far as I know this is the case everywhere in Belgium in both primary and secondary education.

Our lunch breaks were usually 1 hour, which is vastly preferable over 2 hours tbh. 2 hours just means longer school days.

We don't get to pick classes either. You just choose which package of classes you'd rather take, like a language oriented one or a science oriented one. Then you've also got more specific shit like tourism, which is what I did because it meant focus on languages, history and geography.

3 years of kindergarten, 6 years of primary and 6-7 years of secondary here.
